The Board of Education recently approved a property tax rate that is 0.1 cents over the allowable rate to help fund school improvements. See presentation at https://5il.co/3oycg. This .1 allows the district to get additional state funding for projects like converting the community center into an elementary school to replace Louisa West, and adding new safety entryways at all schools.
