Congratulations to FES principal, Sara Kise, who was inducted today into the latest Kentucky Women in Educational Leadership (KWEL) cohort, along with 29 other female educators across the state. Way to go Ms. Kise!



It's KY School Board Recognition Month! Today, we spotlight Mrs. Susie Rice, recently elected to serve her first four-year term. Mrs. Rice has previously served three years on the LC Board of Education. She represents District 4, which includes the areas of East/West Louisa and Meadow Brook. We are grateful for the significant impact of her service on our students, staff, and community!


Today, we continue to celebrate KY School Board Recognition Month! Today, we highlight Mrs. Garnett Skaggs, who represents District 3, which includes the Blaine, Martha, and Brammer Gap areas. We appreciate her work and dedication to LC Schools!


As we continue celebrating KY Board of Education Recognition Month, we recognize Ms. Barbara Robinson. Ms. Robinson serves District 5, which includes the Fallsburg, Buchanan, and Deep Hole areas. We appreciate Ms. Robinson's many years dedicated to our students and schools.


We are celebrating KY School Board Recognition Month! Today, we highlight Ms. Maddlene Roberts, who currently serves as the LC Board Vice Chair. Ms. Roberts represents District 1, which includes the Clifford, Cherryville, Meades Branch, and Richardson areas. We appreciate her years of dedication to our LC Schools!


Reminder! LC Schools will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We plan to be open on a regular schedule on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. We are excited to see our students and staff back in our buildings!

LC Schools is buzzing with festive holiday activities throughout the district! Check out the calendar for main events. Each school may also be having dress-up days! We truly appreciate all our staff's work for our students, especially the work that goes into these last days before the Christmas holiday break! **Note! Fallsburg Elementary School recently held its second Teen Summit, where middle school students participated in various sessions designed to support their growth and success. We extend our gratitude to the many community partners who contributed to this event. Your involvement is making a positive difference in our students' lives!
