We are also sharing our updated attendance policies! Please take a moment to read the 26-27 LC School Attendance Policy! New for the 26-27 school year: After (10) medical excuses, the Medical Excuse Form MUST be completed and approved to receive additional medical excuses.

Celebrating LCHS Alumni, Paul Stepp & Mark Webb!

Congratulations to Paul Stepp, a LCHS Class of 2015 alum, on receiving his Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on the Middle Grades English/Language Arts & Social Studies in December of 2025. He also completed a Master of Arts in Education degree in Educational Technology in May of 2026. Both degrees were obtained through Morehead State University.

Congratulations to Mark Webb, a LCHS Class of 2021 alum, on receiving a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Alabama. He will be employed by Hexcel Corporation and will be living in Huntsville, Alabama.

Celebrating LCHS Alumni, Camran Diamond & Shelby Adkins (Blevins)!

Congratulations to Camran Julianne Diamond, a LCHS Class of 2022 alum, who graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in May of 2026! Camran received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Child & Family Studies.

Congratulations to Shelby Adkins (Blevins), a LCHS Class of 2015 alum, who recently graduated from Big Sandy Community & Technical College with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science.

Congratulations to LCHS alumni, Callie Robertson and Tristan Robertson, on their 2026 graduation from Morehead State University and on receiving their Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Science! Callie is a LCHS Class of 2022 alumnus, and Tristan is a LCHS Class of 2021 alumnus!

This sister-and-brother duo has also been commissioned as 2nd Lieutenants in the US Army! They will complete their Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Next, Callie will be stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, while Tristan will be stationed at Fort Casey, South Korea! Both are active duty field artillery.

We are so proud of Callie and Tristan for obtaining their degrees at MSU! And thank them for their dedication and service to our country! Again, congratulations to Callie and Tristan Robertson! #LCisHome

Reminder that summer feeding through Lawrence County Schools continues tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17. Pick up times are from 10:30 AM through 12:30 PM. Drive-through pick ups are available at Lawrence County high school, Blaine elementary school, and Fallsburg elementary school. This is available at no cost for any children in Lawrence County through the age of 18. Each set of meals handed out contains 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches, plus milk and juice. There's no need to pre-register. Just get in line to pick up.

LC Schools Celebrates Mrs. Christy Moore– Happy Retirement!

LC Schools congratulates Mrs. Christy Moore, currently a LC District Resource Teacher, Middle/High and CTE Coordinator, as she begins her retirement after 27 years of service with LC Schools.
- LCHS Math teacher: 10 Years
- FES 6-8 math and reading: 2 Years
- LCHS assistant principal: 2 Years
- LCHS Principal: 9 Years
- District Resource Teacher/CTE Coordinator- 4 Years

Mrs. Moore shares, "It has been a distinct honor to serve the students, families, and staff of Lawrence County Schools for the past 27 years. My journey through this district has been defined by a passion for academic excellence and a commitment to fostering growth at every level.

"My career has been a testament to the belief that education is a collective effort. Whether I was teaching math, leading as a principal, or coordinating CTE programs to prepare our students for the modern workforce, my guiding principle has remained unchanged. I have approached every role with the mindset: "I am not here for ME; I am here for WE—and WE are there for THEM."

"Throughout my tenure, my goal has been to provide every student with the resources, guidance, and inspiration they need to reach their full potential. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to contribute to the legacy of Lawrence County, ensuring that our students are prepared not just for graduation, but for life."

We thank Mrs. Moore for her years of dedication to our LC students! Thank you for the countless ways you've touched so many lives, made a difference, and shaped futures.
