Louisa West Elementary seized the opportunity to learn and celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with the delightful Miss Denet Wells! Denet, who graced us with her presence yesterday, reading the insightful book 'Katie Can' to our preschool and kindergarten students, shared her unique perspective on Down Syndrome. She also shared her early journey of learning sign language and even taught our students a few words. Denet's open discussion about her challenges and strengths was a valuable learning experience for all! We appreciate and love you, Denet!
