Staff Spotlight for this week
We would like to give a shout out Lawrence County School Transportation Department. They sent some buses and some amazing drivers to LWES to teach our students about the rules when riding the bus. Thank you for doing great things for our students.

A quick reminder of our pick up procedures during dismissal. Remember to stay parked until your child is brought to your vehicle. Also, do not back up when in line. Wait for the vehicle in front of you to pull out before leaving. This reduces the chances of an accident.

We are excited to get this school year started tomorrow, August 10! Just a few reminders - Drop off begins at 7:15 and school begins at 7:50, Dismissal is at 2:45, Be sure to communicate how your child is getting home, transportation changes require a written note.
Drop off and pick up procedures attached. During the morning there should be no cars in the bus drop off line until after 7:40 when the gate to the access road locks. During pickup, please park and we will walk your child to your car.
Please complete the online registration before attending Meet the Teacher. It will make the process much easier. You will enter the school through the cafeteria doors and be asked to complete registration prior to meeting your teacher.
Our Week Ahead:
8/8/22-Meet the Teacher from 4:00 - 6:00 (K-1 only). Please complete your online registration if you haven't already. Parent Volunteer Training from 4:00 - 4:30 and 5:00 - 5:30 in the cafeteria.
8/10/22-First Day for K-1 students, 7:50 - 2:45.
Over the past week, the LC family has sent several gift cards, water, cleaning supplies, tools, $500 of detergent, and more to flood victims to our south.

Here are a few important dates.
LWES FRYSC will hold a parent volunteer training on 8/8/22 in the LWES cafeteria. If you are interested, please plan to attend.
LC Schools will be gathering cleaning supplies and water to help flood victims for the families in SE KY.
If you would like to help, please bring supplies to your student’s school Monday through Friday of next week.
$25 gift cards will also be accepted.
