The LC Middle School Gifted and Talented students from across the district traveled to the East KY Science Center in Prestonsburg, KY. By request of the students, this was their second year in a row to visit the center! It never disappoints!

The LCHS hosted the Spring Bridge Day for 8th-grade students from Louisa Middle School, Fallsburg, and Blaine Elementary Schools. A scavenger hunt familiarized students with the building. They also participated in the Reality Store and other great sessions!

The LCHS had 20 students from Ms. Horn's biology classes join forces with other service groups for the Yatesville Lake Spring Clean-Up! The students enjoyed the fellowship and participating in this great community service event!

LCHS environmental science students visited the Blackhawk Mines located near Hazard, KY. Students felt it was a great learning experience, learning the pros and cons of coal production. The mining staff also stressed the importance of land reclamation.

LCHS hosted their second annual Music in our Schools Concert! Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Whalen, and Mr. Smith collaborated to provide an excellent musical presentation, along with the induction of Adam Chaffins, Elsie Jones, and Sam Lyon into the Hall of Fame!
