The week of April 7th-11th is National Assistant Principals Week! Lawrence County High School has the absolute best! The LC Board of Education has approved the LC Schools 2025-2026 calendar!


Congratulations to Fallsburg Elementary School for winning the third round of the LC Schools Attendance Challenge Contest, held from March 17th to March 28th! FES will proudly display the attendance trophy in their school for the next two weeks. The new attendance contest started on Monday, April 7th, and will run through Friday, April 18th! We can't wait to see who will win this next LC Schools Attendance Challenge and take home the trophy!


Best of luck to the LCHS baseball team playing in the KY 2A this evening. They will compete against Letcher County Central at 6 PM at Stonecrest in Prestonsburg, KY. Let's go, Bulldogs!

Congratulations to LCHS senior Miss Aubrie Laney for being selected to the University of Kentucky's Professional Education Preparation Program (PEPP) Scholars. This program is designed for incoming college freshmen. This program will not only provide Aubrie with exposure to various careers within the medical field but also pave the way for a promising future in medicine. We are excited to see the doors this opportunity will open for her!


It's that time of year! LCHS Prom tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, March 25th! The cost of the tickets is set at $25 per person. If you will be inviting an out-of-school guest, please be sure to pick up a registration form from the front office. Prom tickets will remain on sale through April 20th!


Congratulations to LCHS FFA member Mikka Horn for being awarded a $ 1,000 grant toward the Washington, D.C. Leadership Conference! This conference offers FFA members a remarkable leadership experience, while also providing an opportunity to become immersed in the history of Washington, D.C.


Congratulations to LCHS sophomore Charly Curnutte on being selected for the Rogers Scholars program! This program offers leadership training and scholarship opportunities to upcoming juniors in southern and eastern Kentucky. Students will be equipped with skills to become the next generation of business and entrepreneurial leaders! This is a fantastic opportunity!


Save the Date! LCHS is excited to announce the 2025 Junior & Senior Prom is set for Saturday, May 3rd, 2025! The prom theme is...A Garden Romance. The Grand March begins at 7:00 PM, with the line-up starting at 6:30 PM. In case of inclement weather, the Louisa Middle School gymnasium is reserved as a backup plan.


The week of March 17-21, 2025, marks a historic occasion as it is the inaugural statewide Agriculture Education Week in Kentucky! To kick off the celebrations, on Monday, our LCHS agriculture students visited Blaine Elementary School, where they hosted a petting zoo and engaged students in various agriculture-related topics. We appreciate our LCHS students and Mrs. Blackburn for their dedication and effort in spreading the word about all things agriculture to our younger students in the district!


Announcement! Lawrence County Schools will not be in session on Thursday, March 27th, as we support our LCHS basketball team at the KHSAA Sweet 16 Boys' Basketball State Tournament at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Our LCHS Bulldogs will compete against Montgomery County at 1:30 PM. We hope our students and community will take this opportunity to support our players and their coaches. LCHS pre-nursing students participated in the Health Opportunities Workshop (HOW) at Morehead State University on Friday, March 14th, 2025. The students enjoyed a full day of engaging experiences, which included over 50 exhibits that provided insight into the nursing profession, numerous hands-on workshops, and a guest speaker.
