LCHS Environmental Science class recently spent time in their lab, working to create biodiesel fuel from vegetable oil. They are studying a unit on energy and will continue by studying solar, wind, and other energy sources.

All LC Schools will be participating in a friendly, county-wide attendance contest beginning Monday, Feb 19th, which will run for the next 4 weeks! The contest will be based on the attendance percentage of each school. A "traveling trophy" will be presented each week to the winning school, along with bragging rights! Let's have fun with this! Remember...Attendance Matters!

Today, February 15th is School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day! LC Schools is privileged to have Officer Musick as our SRO. We thank him for all of his service, support, and dedication to our students and schools! Not only is he present in our schools throughout the day, but he also attends athletic functions in the evenings! Let him know you appreciate him, next time you see him out!

The LCHS academic team recently competed in the Governor's Cup District competition at Paul Blazer High School in Ashland, KY. The Future Problem Solving team came in first place for the first time ever in school history! We are so proud of this team!
