Congratulations to Louisa Middle School eighth-graders, Lauren Sammons, Laila Dolen, and Aubrey Brady for being selected for the Rogers Explorers Program. Lauren will be attending the University of Pikeville, while Laila and Aubrey will be attending Morehead State University to complete the program! We are so proud of these young ladies!


Announcement! Lawrence County Schools will not be in session on Thursday, March 27th, as we support our LCHS basketball team at the KHSAA Sweet 16 Boys' Basketball State Tournament at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Our LCHS Bulldogs will compete against Montgomery County at 1:30 PM. We hope our students and community will take this opportunity to support our players and their coaches. Congratulations to Blaine Elementary School for winning the second round of the LC Schools Attendance Challenge Contest, held from March 3rd to March 14th! BES will proudly display the attendance trophy in their school for the next two weeks. The new attendance contest started on Monday, March 17th, and will run through Friday, March 28th! We are excited to see who will win this next round of the LC Schools Attendance Challenge and take home the trophy!

As we wrap up National School Breakfast Week, we're delighted to share that LC Schools has served an impressive 5,396 student breakfast meals this week! This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our food service team. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Farley, our LC Food Service Manager, and Mrs. Hammond, our LC Food Service Clerk, for their unwavering commitment to planning delicious and nutritious meals for our students year-round. We also want to express our gratitude to all our schools' cafeteria staff, who work tirelessly to prepare tasty and healthy breakfasts and lunches. Your efforts are truly appreciated!




Today we step inside Mrs. Dixon's sixth-grade science class at the Louisa Middle School!
Mrs. Dixon conducted experiments on particle motion with her students. They were immersed in the lesson and especially enjoyed the bubble experiment. Check out their classroom conclusions!
