Congratulations to the LCHS Fire Science students on completing the BLS certification in CPR and AED! Your dedication and hard work are commendable, and we are proud of your achievement! The LCHS Fire Science instructor, Steve Wilburn, is excited about the class's accomplishments. "Cardiac emergencies can happen at any time or place. Having these students complete their Basic Life Support certification is not just an achievement for them but a significant step towards a safer community. Proper CPR helps maintain blood flow and oxygen to vital organs until advanced medical care arrives. Students were trained in CPR for adults, children, and infants, as well as the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) that can make all the difference when minutes count for survival. These students now have the skills to potentially save a life."
