LC Schools is proud to wish one of our own, 1998 LCHS alum Jason Michael, the best of luck in Super Bowl LXI! He is in his fourth year as the Philadelphia Eagles' tight ends coach. In 2007, he began his coaching career as a tight ends coach at the University of TN. Through the years, he has worked with several NFL teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and the New York Jets. Due to flooding, Lawrence County Schools will be closed tomorrow (Friday, 2/7/25). Blaine Elementary’s sewer plant was impacted, and several roads remain covered or washed out, with more rain expected. Road conditions will be assessed this weekend to adjust bus routes for Monday.

The B Team won 30-18, and the C team won 30-8! Congratulations to our students and their coaches on their hard work and dedication!

LC Schools is celebrating National School Counseling Week, February 3-7, 2025! Each of our schools has the most caring individuals dedicated to every student's well-being. Our counselors provide social and emotional learning lessons, work with students through Terrace Metrics surveys, and provide support whenever needed. We sincerely appreciate their unwavering dedication. We see you and are grateful for you every day!

Reminder! Lawrence County schools will not be open on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. They will resume on a regular schedule on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

The LC School Attendance Challenge starts tomorrow! It will run from Monday, February 3rd, through Friday, February 14th. The winning school will receive the traveling attendance trophy, a prize from the school, and, of course, bragging rights! Remember, attendance matters!

LC Schools thanks the LC Youth Football League for their generous donation of $10,000 toward the revitalization of older storage buildings near the football field. This will improve the field's aesthetics and provide access to needed storage for the LCYFL. Thank you!

Congratulations to our Louisa Middle, Blaine, and Fallsburg students who competed in the 2025 Governor's Cup District 72 Competition! We are so proud of all of our students! In the overall results, LMS placed 1st, and BES placed 2nd! Check out the rest of the results!
