
Congratulations to the LCHS Choir! Two members, Elijah Canterbury and Trae Mabry, were selected to participate in the 2025 KY All-State Choir! We appreciate the hard work of our students and that of Mrs. Annie Johnson, the LCHS choir teacher! This is an amazing achievement!


Congratulations to each of our Lawrence County schools throughout the district, which qualified for the state STLP competition at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, on April 25, 2025! We are so excited for our students and coaches!

A BIG thank you goes out to all of our LC Schools Food Service teams, along with Kyla Farley, Food Service Director, and Brettia Hammond, Food Service Clerk, for their outstanding work on our Thanksgiving Dinner! The staff fed 117 adults, 1738 students, and 32 kitchen staff, for a total of 1887 people! We appreciate you and thank you for all you do, especially for our students!

We are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week! LC Schools is highlighting our LCHS Dataseam apprentices, Aiden Mynhier and Ryland Brady! On Friday, Nov 15th, Blaine, Fallsburg, and Louisa West students had the opportunity to participate in the LC Storybook Trail Walk, thanks to our Community Partners! The LC Board of Tourism and the LC Health Department played a crucial role in the production of the LC Storybook Trail Walk. Students enjoyed the book My Active Imagination by stopping at each reading kiosk along the nature trail. Also, students were given healthy snacks by the UK LC Extension Service and presented with books and toys by the Army Corps of Engineers! We are truly grateful for their support and this fantastic activity for our students! Thank you!




The community is invited to attend the LCHS Choir perform its Christmas concert this evening, Wed, Nov 20th, at the Hilltop Methodist Church. The program will begin at 6:30 PM, and admission is free! Go and enjoy a fantastic holiday performance!

Chapel Tinius, Miss Kentucky 2024, recently visited the students at Blaine Elementary School! The students thoroughly enjoyed Miss Tinius, who played various tunes on her violin. She also discussed several topics, including tips on healthy eating and exercise! @LawrenceCoSch


The LCHS FFA recently attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN, where they competed in the National Contest for the first time! Students competed in the FFA quiz and placed 34 out of 212! Congratulations!

During this event, there will be introductions of the Hoops League players, the 24-25 Lady Bulldogs, and the 24-25 LCHS boys basketball team! We hope to see you there!


Attention LCHS Parents! Ashland Community & Technical College will host a meeting in the LCHS library on Tuesday, November 19th, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM! The meeting will discuss dual credit classes and address any questions about students attending ACTC after graduation. Please make plans to attend this beneficial meeting!



The Thanksgiving holiday season is upon us! LC Schools is excited to announce schools will be hosting their Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday, November 20th! Congratulations to the LC Youth League Turf Bowl B -Team Champions! The tournament was held at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, WV, on Saturday, November 9, 2024. The team competed against DC Express and came away with the win at 30-8! We also want to congratulate the A and C teams on becoming runners-up! All the LC youth league teams have had excellent seasons!


Louisa East Elementary School held its outstanding Veterans Day Programs on Nov 11, 2024, demonstrating our strong community spirit! We appreciate Louisa Post 89 and VFW 6103 members' involvement and volunteering their time to teach students about the Missing Man Table and the Flag Folding Ceremony. Thank you to Mrs. Helton and the EAST activity teachers for their hard work on these programs!
